Hi Everyone. Thank you for finding your way to my blog. You could be somewhere else but chose to be here. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you and I really mean it.

My name is Tatev and food is my passion. A proud Armenian, I have lived in many parts of the word including New York, Barcelona, Moscow, Southern California and now calling Northern California my home. Each of these places has left its permanent mark on me like my love of the outdoors from gathering mushrooms in forests of Moscow as a young kid to my obsession with the beach and the ocean when I lived and trained minutes from the beach in Orange County, Southern California.

From a young age, I was training to become a professional tennis player. Although I showed a lot of potential, due to a string of shoulder and wrist surgeries, I had to retire after my pro debut. But tennis has defined my life and to this day is a part of me. When I’m not cooking or being full time mom, I am a tennis pro at my local country club. But that is a whole different chapter in my life and I can tell you all about it another day.

Cooking was just something I did, it never occurred to me that it can be a career. The way I saw it, I cook, all my friends cook, all my relatives cook. It’s just what we all do, but my husband, I’ll tell you about him and how he proposed 17 days after we met later, really encouraged me to start sharing some of my creations and put it out there for others to see.

As a family, we have tried many different diets, from random or full on Keto, to full on vegetarian to a mix and back through again. Currently we are really enjoying being pescatarian and have been for almost a year. From all our experiments, seafood had us feeling at our healthiest, most energetic and might even say happiest. So you will see a lot of my recipes reflect my current taste of seafood and veggies.

When I cook, I try to use as little ingredients as possible, instead working to bring out the flavor of the protein I am using, the natural colors of the veggies and the hardiness of the grains and carbs.
