Citrus Salad
This delicious salad is a bit different – not your usual green salad for sure. Ingredients
- 6 lettuce leaves
- 1 large grapefruit
- 1 orange
- 1 small shallot
- 5 basil leaves
- 3 tbsp ricotta cheese
- 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds
- 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
- sea salt (to taste)
- ground black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Peal the grapefruit and orange. Cut them into circles and set aside.
- Cut the lettuce into 1 inch pieces and set aside.
- Cut the shallot into thin round pieces.
- Slice the basil leaves into strips.
- In a 10 inch shallow plate add the lettuce and spread all around the plate.
- Do a pattern by setting 1 grapefruit pieces and orange. Continue to goin circles.
- Add a layer of diced shallot and basil leaves.
- Next, put small portions of ricotta cheese into different areas.
- Add the pumpkin seeds, salt and black pepper.
- Finally drizzle with the balsamic glaze.
